What is Glacitor ?

Glacitor is an innovative dietary supplement containing a combination of ficoide glaciale (brand name, Tsuburina) carefully cultivated under the ideal environment, and enhanced with D-pinitol.

Bio-Activity of D-pinitol

Pinitol is a form of the vitamin B inositol and has roots in natural healing practices such as Ayurveda. Medical research into D-pinitol has indicated that it has an insulin-like function and may help regulate the body's metabolism and lower blood glucose levels.

D-pinitol is a natural, sugar-like molecule found in the bark of pine tree. Foods rich in D-pinitol include ficoide glaciale, legumes, carob beans, and ginkgo. However, the molecule does not appear to be naturally found in animal products,and it is not produced in the human body.

It also may make the cells of the body more sensitive to the effects of insulin, causing them to more readily take up glucose from the bloodstream when insulin is secreted. Studies of this molecule are ongoing, but several results have indicated that those with type II diabetes may benefit from regular doses of D-pinitol. It may help to stabilize the blood glucose level in the body.


Pinitol, contained high amount in Tsuburina

“Tsuburina” which cultivated stress, an essential ingredient for “Glacitor” contains considerable amount of pinitol. It contains pinitol 6 times the amount in fresh “Tsuburina”(fresh vegetable). Furthermore, pinitol content of powdered Tsuburina which cultivated stress would be 8.5 times the amount in dried soy beans.

According to our experiment, we understand Tsuburina which cultivated stress is rich in pinitol.

Pinitol is natural effective supplement, made by Tsuburina which cultivated stress. As pinitol is considered to be generated by osmotic pressure effect, we have been advancing our research including genetic analyses as well.


Pinitol is an effective supplement registered with FDA and KFDA

Pinitol was registered as a prescription supplement for the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) (in December 1997). Pinitol was certified as an ingredient for specified health use by the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) (in May 2007).

As an example of an effect of pinitol, the study results on the mechanism of improving the blood sugar was published in the journal of British pharmaceutical association in 2000.

Pinitol is an effective ingredient of anti- Advanced Gycation Endproducts(AGEs)

AGEs have been attracting attention in the field of product developments, especially in the market of health and beauty products in Japan. “Glycation” is to connect suger and protein in the body, called Maillard reaction. AGEs shall be restrained by the materials of anti-glycation, which would be a key to keep our health and beauty.

Since Tsuburina which cultivated stress for Glacitor are cultivated in the indoor clean room, besides pesticide-free production, there are extremely few general live germs. This means we can adopt sophisticated drying technology to maintain nourishment found in Tsuburina, such as Vitamins, Phyto-chemicals, since the nutrient ingredients are weak against heat.
